Frequently asked questions

General & Mission

  • What exactly is "Property Stewardship"?

    • At Fifty Plus, we believe your home should be a sanctuary, not a chore list.
    • Stewardship means we move beyond "transactional" mowing or cleaning to act as your proactive property guardians.
  • What is the "Sanctuary Standard"?

    • This is our baseline for excellence, ensuring your home is cleaned to a deep-detail level and your yard is manicured with precision.
    • We restore your property to a state of peace and order every time we visit.
  • What is a "Home DNA Profile"?

    • During your initial walkthrough, we document every detail of your property, from pet gate locations to antique care instructions and preferred botanical scents.
    • This ensures your service remains personalized and identical every single time, even as our team grows.
  • What if I’m not happy with a service?

    • We offer the Sanctuary Guarantee.
    • If any part of a visit doesn't meet the standard in your Home DNA Profile, let us know, and we will return the same or next business day to fix it at no cost.

Services & Safety

  • Are your cleaning products safe for my family and pets?

    • Yes. We lead with a "Botanical-First" protocol, using eco-safe solutions like stabilized peroxide and vinegar for approximately 95% of our daily work.
    • We will only use specialized professional chemistry responsibly if botanical options cannot achieve the necessary results, and we will notify you first.
  • Who exactly is coming into my home?

    • Only FPHS-certified Home Stewardship Technicians who have passed comprehensive background checks and rigorous training.
    • We pay a professional wage ($25–$30/hr) to ensure we attract and keep the best guardians for your sanctuary.
  • Do I need to be home for my service?

    • Not at all. Many clients provide a key or security code, which is documented securely in your Home DNA.
    • We perform a full security sweep upon departure to ensure all doors and gates are locked.
  • What is an "Initial Reset"?

    • Every new sanctuary begins with an intensive, labor-heavy session to clear existing "Maintenance Debt."
    • This one-time fee ensures our technicians are maintaining a "Sanctuary" rather than playing catch-up on old buildup or overgrowth.

Plans & Billing

  • How does the "Level-Pay" system work?

    • Our Think Ahead Stewardship Plan totals your annual service costs and divides them into 12 equal monthly installments.
    • This provides you with a predictable budget year-round, regardless of the season.
  • What happens to my yard service in the winter?

    • From December to March, our service pivots to Winter Wellness Audits.
    • We focus on interior deep-cleaning projects, indoor sanctuary resets, and exterior property safety checks for ice hazards or security vulnerabilities.
  • What is your cancellation policy?

    • We require 7 days' notice for cancellations to protect our technicians' stability.
    • Every recurring customer receives two "Grace Passes" per year for late cancellations without penalty.
    • The third late cancellation results in a fee equal to 50% of the service price, which is paid 100% to your assigned technician to compensate for their lost time.
  • What if I need to cancel my 12-month Stewardship Plan early?

    • We require a 30-day notice and perform a "Value Audit" to ensure the labor provided (like the Initial Reset) has been covered by your installments.
    • A one-time $250 Administrative Exit Fee is applied to cover account closure.
